About MeSince childhood Charlie has appreciated the world of art. Classically trained in figure drawing, she went on to pursue painting at the University of Colorado earning a dual BA in art history and studio arts. Using the universal language of visual arts, Charlie explores her
life experiences and displays them in a collage-like fashion, drawing
from a multitude of mediums. Reminiscent of the approach of Rauschenberg
and Cornell, her works bring about a sense of nostalgia through
the juxtaposition of different mediums which represent various experiences.
She has culminated her studio arts skills into the realm of jewelry
making and metalsmithing, producing art that enhances appearance
and draws attention to the individual whom it adorns. Her work is
bohemia meets sheik… art meets fashion… Charlie Vaughan.
